Hadleigh Junior School Celebrates Positive Ofsted Report
Hadleigh Junior School in Church Road, Benfleet, part of South East Essex Academy Trust, is proud to share the outcome of its recent Ofsted inspection, which highlights the school’s commitment to providing high quality education in a caring environment.
The inspection, conducted on 4th and 5th March 2025, resulted in Outstanding judgements for Behaviour and Attitudes and Personal Development, with Good judgements for Quality of Education and Leadership and Management.
The report praises the school as “a calm, safe and welcoming place to learn” where “pupils are happy, confident and independent learners.”
Inspectors noted that “behaviour is exceptional” and that “pupils consistently demonstrate care and empathy towards each other.”
The school’s commitment to academic excellence was also recognised, with inspectors stating that “the quality of education supports pupils to achieve well” and that “staff have high expectations for pupils.”
Inspectors also praised the positive relationships between staff and pupils at the school, as well as the "exceptional range of enrichment experiences.”
Inspectors reported that pupils with special educational needs receive support that is effectively tailored to their needs. “As a result, pupils with SEND learn the same curriculum as their peers and achieve well.”
