• Tuesday 22 September 2026 A Journey of a Lifetime: Westcliff Girls in Sri Lanka 28 students & 4 staff members from Westcliff High School for Girls went on an incredible expedition to Sri Lanka in July, combining adventure, community service and cultural discovery. Highlights included conquering the 5,500 steps of Adam's Peak, trekking through the stunning Knuckles Mountains, volunteering to improve a local primary school, and learning about Sri Lanka's rich history and traditions.
• Monday 14 September 2026 Bringing the SEEAT Six to Life We kicked off the first full week back at schools with our Chief Education Officer, Toni Kittle, hosting the first of our SEEAT Six training sessions for Senior Leadership Teams across the Trust, focusing on Principle 1: Ready to Learn.Our leaders explored what it means to create classrooms where every child feels they belong. When children belong, they feel safe, valued and keen to learn and engage. They show resilience, learn from mistakes, and hold high expectations of themselves and others. As educators, we know that continuous improvement starts with us, and collaboration is key to ensuring the best outcomes for every child.The principles of the SEEAT Six will be coming to every school across the Trust, helping us build a shared language and consistent approach that supports all learners. We are excited to see the impact this will have in our classrooms.

• Tuesday 7 July 2026 Collaboration in Action: Westcliff and Hadleigh Juniors Race to Success Pupils from Westcliff High School for Girls have been sharing their passion for engineering with pupils from Hadleigh Juniors through a Greenpower outreach project. Giving up their own time, members of the Sixth Form Greenpower team visited the school to introduce pupils to electric vehicle racing, teach them about car design and driving techniques, and help prepare them for their first-ever motorsport competition.
• Wednesday 1 July 2026 Glowing Ofsted report for Rochford Primary and Nursery School Staff and pupils at Rochford Primary and Nursery School are celebrating following their recent Ofsted inspection on 2nd and 3rd June 2026.
• Monday 22 June 2026 Platinum OPAL award for Heycroft Primary School We are proud to celebrate Heycroft’s brilliant achievement in being awarded the Platinum Award for Play at Lunchtime through the OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) programme.
• Thursday 4 June 2026 Westcliff High School for Girls Crowned Netherlands Champions On Saturday 16 May, eight drivers from the Valkyrie Race Team travelled to Lelystad in the Netherlands to compete in the Greenpower Dutch International Finals. After a six- hour ferry journey, the team completed the final stage of the trip to their hotel, where they made several last-minute adjustments to the cars and equipment in preparation for race day.
• Tuesday 2 June 2026 Cornelius Vermuyden School officially joins SEEAT On Monday 1st June 2026, the school formally transferred to The Trust, after working together since April 2024.
• Friday 15 May 2026 Finding Her Voice: Maria’s Inspiring Journey South East Essex Academy Trust is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Maria from The Deanes, who has reached the Jack Petchey Regional Final.
• Tuesday 5 May 2026 Cross‑Trust Moderation Across SEEAT Primary Schools On Monday 27th April, teachers from across all SEEAT primary schools took part in a cross‑Trust moderation, using consistent moderation materials and a shared session structure. Each school hosted at least one year group, with leaders supporting and facilitating the moderation sessions.
• Tuesday 28 April 2026 Cornelius Vermuyden Praised for Rapid Improvement Following an Ofsted visit in March, Cornelius Vermuyden School has been praised for its rapid improvement.
• Monday 13 April 2026 Advocating for change at the Shaping Essex Assembly On 24th March some of our schools joined the Shaping Essex Assembly at Chelmsford Cathedral, bringing together organisations from across Essex to campaign for improvements to transport, housing and mental health across the county.

• Monday 23 March 2026 An Olympic Day to Remember Earlier this month, NatWest, who sponsor Team GB for the Olympics and Paralympic, held a fun Olympic celebration day at their Thanet Grange building. They invited a small group of pupils from Prince Avenue Academy, and the school jumped at the chance to go!
• Friday 13 March 2026 SEEAT Sings 2026 Wednesday 11th March marked our fourth annual SEEAT Sings, a special event in our Trust calendar, compered brilliantly by two Westcliff Sixth Formers. All nine schools came together, each performing two songs of their choice before uniting for a powerful finale.
• Friday 13 March 2026 Prince Avenue Academy Shines in ITV Early Years Mini‑Series We were delighted that one of our schools, Prince Avenue Academy and Nursery, was featured in the ITV mini‑series The Masked Singer: The Magic of Early Years, created in partnership with the Department for Education.

• Friday 16 January 2026 Autism Reality Experience at The Westborough School On 14th January 2026, The Westborough School proudly welcomed the Autism Reality Experience bus, an innovative and inspirational training initiative designed to give participants a virtual experience of living with autism. This hands-on, immersive session provided staff with a unique opportunity to gain deeper insight into the sensory and cognitive challenges faced by autistic individuals, helping us see the world from their perspective.
