Collaboration in Action: Westcliff Girls and Hadleigh Juniors Race to Success

Pupils from Westcliff High School for Girls have been sharing their passion for engineering with pupils from Hadleigh Juniors through a Greenpower outreach project. Giving up their own time, members of the Sixth Form Greenpower team visited the school to introduce pupils to electric vehicle racing, teach them about car design and driving techniques, and help prepare them for their first-ever motorsport competition.

All their hard work paid off at the annual Greenpower event at Ford Dunton, where Hadleigh Juniors achieved a brilliant 3rd place in the Goblin Sprint Race on their competitive debut. A fantastic achievement and a proud moment for everyone involved.

Westcliff's own Greenpower teams also enjoyed success, with pupils in Years 9, 10 and 11 securing impressive 4th and 5th place finishes in the highly competitive F24 category – the school's strongest performance at Ford Dunton to date. Fantastic!

This project perfectly reflects SEEAT's vision of being a family of schools that works together to deliver excellence. By sharing expertise, supporting one another and creating opportunities across our schools, students were able to experience the power of collaboration in action while inspiring the next generation of engineers.

We are incredibly proud of everyone involved.
