Shakespeare's Globe Sets The Scene

Where better to introduce the work of Shakespeare than at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre itself?

Known famously as the most unique, remarkable and breathtaking theatrical space in London, it provided the perfect setting to inspire Year 8 students from The Deanes to watch a production of The Tempest.

The students will be studying this great work of Shakespeare in English during the Summer term and they all enjoyed watching it acted out before their very own eyes at such an atmospheric location. The production was very modern with some fantastic costumes and interesting staging. Despite the weather (it's an open air theatre and of course it rained!), the students were impeccably behaved and enjoyed the evening.

Thank you to Mr Cause, Miss Masterson, Mr Mason and Mrs Syrett for accompanying our students and sharing the experience with them.
