Remembrance Day

Our schools all celebrated Remembrance Day in their own ways, as you can see in the photos. At Westcliff High School for Girls, the whole school community of over 1300 pupils and staff observed the two-minute silence impeccably as they gathered on the field to remember those who have lost their lives as a result of conflict. Special thanks must go to Izzy and Simisola, the school's new Head Girls, for reading so eloquently, and to Zoe for performing the Last Post on her own in front of the entire school.

Jessie and Sophie, the previous year's Head Girls, represented the school on Remembrance Sunday along with Mrs O'Brien, our Deputy Headteacher, when they laid wreaths at the Clifftown Parade Cenotaph.
