Prince Avenue Academy Pupils Featured on BBC News!
Year 6 pupils from Prince Avenue Academy were featured on BBC News after joining a special computing session at Southend High School for Boys to celebrate National Computer Game Day.
In collaboration with Digital Schoolhouse, the session was designed to bridge the gap between computer science in primary and secondary schools, using play-based learning.
The children were enthusiastic about their time in the computer class. One pupil said: "It was really fun and exciting—I loved how we made little mini games."
Another added: "It's really fun. It's probably my dream job—building games for all different ages. If I can have a chance to have a fun time, why can't others?"
The session highlighted how gaming can spark interest in computer science.
